# Logline DSL > Logline is a deterministic domain-specific language (DSL) for describing expected system behavior and validating it against real engineering logs. Logline Workbench is the browser-first environment for authoring, importing, executing, debugging, visualizing, and reporting Logline programs. Logline evaluates log evidence. It does not control the system under test or execute external side effects. ## Naming and disambiguation - The domain name `prologline.com` stands for **Professional Logline**. - The language itself is named **Logline**. - Logline is an independent DSL and is **not related to the Prolog programming language**. ## Language documentation - [Getting Started](https://prologline.com/docs/getting-started): Write a first Logline scenario, import a log, run it, debug evidence, and read the report. - [Syntax Reference](https://prologline.com/docs/logline/syntax): Current Logline DSL declarations, executable segments, expressions, collectors, and policies. - [Semantics](https://prologline.com/docs/logline/semantics): Canonical records, deterministic execution, candidate lifecycle, attempt gates, outcomes, debugger evidence, and reports. - [Time & Timestamps](https://prologline.com/docs/logline/time): Source clocks, Canonical Timeline Epoch (CTE), exact timestamp normalization, multi-source synchronization, temporal preflight, provenance, and payload-time conversion. ## Product - [Logline Workbench](https://prologline.com/logline/workbench): Author, execute, debug and review Logline programs against engineering logs; context-aware Inspector selection works from Text and Structure. - [Workbench and AI workflows](https://prologline.com/assets/logline-ai-source-pack/workbench/WORKBENCH_WORKFLOWS.md): Compiler-verified program review, isolated execution preview, contextual question drafting, and current AI-service availability boundaries. - [AI assistance](https://prologline.com/logline/ai): Platform-wide assistance entry point; replies depend on the separate AI service. - [Security Model](https://prologline.com/pitch): Browser-first and local-first analysis model for sensitive engineering logs. - [About Logline](https://prologline.com/about): Product and company overview. ## Logline Enterprise setup - [Enterprise Setup Guides](https://prologline.com/enterprise/setup/): Environment selector for customer setup and deployment guidance. - [Enterprise operations and licensing](https://prologline.com/assets/logline-ai-source-pack/enterprise/ENTERPRISE_RUNTIME_AND_LICENSING.md): Control plane, source manifests, offline licensing, identity, and implementation-versus-acceptance boundaries. - [Releases and capability status](https://prologline.com/releases): Implementation, validation and publication status are separate. - [Microsoft Azure / Entra Setup](https://prologline.com/enterprise/setup/azure/): Required Entra identity and API-access setup for Azure deployments, with additional Console configuration for interactive users.
